原刊於2020年8月12日明報世紀版,士紳化系列之第四篇和最後一篇文章 初次讀到「Sham Shui Po is the new Brooklyn」時,我本來以為這句口號出自關注重建、反士紳化的居民及團體口中。怎料,提出者居然是近幾年進駐深水埗的藝術文化界和小店。他們邊視深水埗為富有特色的舊區,卻邊想營造這地方成為美國紐約Brooklyn(布魯克林)一樣,這想法令人大惑不解。即使要比較,又怎會以士紳化的典型案例布魯克林為目標?
